One Day of Filming = Five Finished Videos…
Our second project with The Gospel Coalition took us back to our old stomping grounds in D.C. to film a series of interviews for a new campaign called “Friends of TGC.” This trip was more like a long layover, as we only had one full day to zip around the beltway and gather the interviews before we were flying out again on our way to the west coast. We visited four different TGC supporters, gathering their testimonies and stories, seeing their homes, churches and workplaces, and capturing small pieces of their lives, and this also gave us a chance to share a piece of ours as well. Take a look at the video portraits we produced below, and definitely be sure to check out the amazing gospel-based resources on the TGC website.

Approaching the End With A New Beginning On the Horizon…
Not too long ago, we couldn’t imagine our missional year coming to an end and now…we don’t have to! So, drumroll please — we’d like to share some exciting news with you, our trusty followers!
We have been offered (and accepted!) positions to work with a nonprofit organization that has the same heart mission as ours — to serve other organizations with photo and video storytelling services. The nonprofit is a Christian ministry called Silent Images that’s been around for 10 years, and they created new positions on their team just for us! Next year we will be calling Central and South America our home, as we embark as Silent Images’ first internationally based photo and video missionaries! We will be continuing to serve other organizations in that region of the world with our skills, much like we have this year. So, if you know of any great causes that we didn’t get to serve this year, please contact us about projects for 2016 by emailing us at timpy@silentimages.org.
This is an amazing opportunity that we feel God has divinely arranged for us, and we know it’s a product of following his call and taking a leap of faith on our missional year. We also know that we could have never had such success without your support, praying for us and encouraging us daily. We feel so blessed to invite you to follow along on our next journey as we team up with Silent Images and continue to showcase a small portion of the incredible work that is being done around the world in God’s name.
We are thrilled about this exciting opportunity, which will allow us to continue serving God and others by doing what we love together — but we need your support to make it a reality. We have been asked to do a significant amount of fundraising for our new position, with a hope of raising $30,000 to help us complete our goals for the year, which include providing at least 30 videos for charities in 5 different countries, teaching storytelling workshops for at least 30 ministry leaders, and personally coaching local filmmakers and photographers so they can continue to serve ministries once we leave. So, if you’ve been following along on our journey this year and have caught the vision for the importance of visual storytelling to communicate the work being done around the world and right here in the United States, please consider supporting us financially. This is a way that you can personally join us in this mission, and partner with us in the Kingdom business!
You can donate directly to our mission on Silent Images’ website by clicking here and adding “For Timpys” in the special instructions. Or, you can mail checks made out to Silent Images with our names in the memo line and send them to Silent Images, P.O Box 667, Matthews, NC 28106. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and financial support!
We are currently “home” for the first time in six months, and we are enjoying time with our families. The nieces and nephews have grown despite our absence, but we feel blessed to be able to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with them after being on the move all year. This doesn’t mean we’re not working though — we are continuing to edit projects from our West Coast filming, and are working on a few other video projects between our parents’ houses in North Carolina before officially wrapping up our missional year. Stay tuned for more updates on those as the year comes to a close!
So glad to have you home for a bit even though you are still working most of our days together editing work to finish up for your partners. But even having you at the table with headphones all day is better than not having you here at all. We are so excited about you new positions and very glad you will continue to work together! You are an amazing team! God has blessed you.
Happy Birthday one more time Cassie!
