Threads of Hope is empowering impoverished women and transforming lives. This is just one of the many artisan stories in Ayacucho, Peru. Meet Edelberta, a Quechua artisan from the Andes Mountains who has been working with Threads of Hope. Threads of Hope is an economic development project committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by working with developing world artisans to sell their textile art. Threads of Hope sells through volunteer pop up shows around the US and through their web store. 100% of proceeds are returned to participating artisans through The Hope Grant Fund for poverty alleviation in the areas of Education, Healthcare, Housing and Small Business/Community Development.
