Friends of Greenfield Lake is a group we started for neighbors, frequenters and nature lovers who to come together in love and service to build community and beautify Greenfield Lake. In 2021, Jordan applied for grant funding toward a community improvement project — a Friends of Greenfield Lake community garden. Out of nearly 2,000 applicants all over the country, our community garden idea was one of 10 community improvement projects chosen for the Make Every Block Better grant sponsored by H&R Block and Next Door. Below is the story of our group and this community garden project.
